1991

Establishment of the company ELCOM. We' ve started as a distributor for Japanese company SHARP in Slovakia. In a cooperation with this company we have developed  and begun to introduce systems for cash management of retails and restaurants. One of the biggest customers at that time was company Tesco.

1992 - 1994

Our company became the official adviser for Ministry of Finance of Slovak Republic when fiscal law was introduced in Slovakia. The cooperation between Slovak Ministry of Finance and Slovak Tax Authorities continues, and Elcom assists in solving current questions related to cash registers.

1996

We developed and successfully launched our first  own cash register with a brand name Euro-2000M. Shortly the other cash registers followed.

1997

The beginning of the export. We gain the first success abroad. After the success of electronic register Euro, a company Elcom as the first in the world has developed a revolutionary model point -of-sale system POS-3000, which expressed interest in the largest retail chains in Slovakia, as well as in abroad.

2001

We launched new own products: external keyboards and displays.

2004

The company has 100 000 satisfied customers worldwide using cash registers Elcom and at the beginning of the year 2004, there were 150 000.

2005

The company won the grant of National Agency for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, cofinanced  by the European Union. The project was oriented to the reconstruction of the production hall and purchasing High-Tech technology. In the same year the number of our customers increased to 200 thousand.

2006

Slovak Gold foundation evaluated Euro-2100 cash register with 2 certificates - Slovak Gold and Slovak Gold Grand Prix for high quality. We implemented quality management system according to international ISO 9001 standard and we met also european directive RoHS. We started the production activities  of printed circuit boards.

2007

Our innovation effort  and achieving of high quality of our products were awarded by nomination for National prize for design and nomination for European prize for design management.

2008

Number of sold electronic cash registers exceeded 300 000.

2009

We launched an important innovation to the market: Uniq PC- 15“ resistant touch all-in-one computer suitable mainly for demanding environments and industrial operations. This computer was introduced at international exhibition CeBIT 2009.

2010

The excellence and benefit of Uniq PC computer were enhanced by Slovak Gold certificate for high quality and also by Uniq's success at international exhibition Kiosk Europe.
In this year Elcom launched innovative project Genielite for regulation of lighting energy consumption. This project brings up to 90% of energy costs saving in industrial or public lighting in case of fast return on investments.

2011

Our ECR Euro and Efox printers became the most popular at Slovak market within implementing of fiscal law.

2012

We are making a progress again in the field of computers. This time we are launching 19“ touch Uniq PC with extended functions and options in comparison to its 15“ predecessor and also 10“ portable tablet. In this year we launched a revolutionary signature tablet Secure Sign for client workplaces with possibility of biometric signature and its evaluation through sophisticated software.

2013

We developed new solution for Hungary with AEE unit (tax control unit). We presented mine computer Uniq PC KD and got contract from polish copper mines.
Intesa SanPaolo bank group had chosen our unique solution Secure Sign. To the end of the 2013 year this device will be installed to the every branch of PBZ bank in Croatia. In Slovakia is this group represented by VUB Bank.
In pursuance of Microsoft Industry Awards (MIA) 2013 we gained special award of Microsoft Slovakia director for durable Uniq tablet. Awards are annualy awarded to best partners of Microsoft company, which are developing customer's solutions and applications with Microsoft platform and using the latest technology.
Uniq Tablet, a product of ELCOM company, has won the category IT Product 2013 Award. Awards were passed by informal association of Slovak journalists and members of professional associations in information technologies  and telecommunication sphere.
