It is true that children are not very friendly when it comes to technologies and often try tricks with it that we, the "adults", would not even dream of. Therefore, having the device tested by children can be a beneficial solution. Kids will have fun and you can better assess the durability of the product.

What to consider when choosing a tablet?

1. Resistance to water, dust, and impact

As we have already mentioned, the industrial tablet does not bear its name just "for decoration". If it has been specially developed for demanding industrial conditions, it should be resistant to dust, industrial vibrations, or shocks. Devices with IP 65 protection, such as the Uniq Tablet II or Uniq Tablet IIs, are water-resistant and can be used without any worries, even in long-term humid environments.

2. Always clear view

Do you need to use an industrial tablet in the dark corners of a production hall or under sunlight? The environment plays a big role in your choice. The brightness of the display should be adjusted to both extremes. As the outdoor light changes during the day, the tablet display should automatically adjust so that you can comfortably read all the data or distinguish colors on it. The brightness of the display is set to save battery power at the same time.

3. Robust body for harsh environment

A tablet that stands as a member of your production team should also be mechanically resistant. The body of the tablet needs to be robust enough to handle even harsher treatment. The tablets we offer can handle unwanted falls from a height of 1.2 m, which can be useful not only in the production hall but also in the "terrain", where you need to move with it and where the risk of falling is higher. 4. Long live the battery!

Uniq series tablets deliver great performance without charging for 8 hours. If you are not moving with the device, simply place it in the dock station, where it charges throughout its use. An industrial tablet suddenly becomes a full-fledged alternative to a standard computer with constant charging in the dock station. However, if you need to move with the tablet in the operation hall or outdoors, it has to work wirelessly. A built-in battery gives you this opportunity. Plus, you do not have to worry for a moment about discharging the device, even while replacing it. The dual swap battery ensures that the tablet will continue to operate during the battery replacement process itself (approximately 15 minutes).

5. Convenient operation

The tablet should be sensitive to your touch. Therefore, a robust but also sufficiently sensitive display is fitted into the robust body of the Uniq Tablet. You can comfortably operate it even with gloves in demanding industrial conditions. You can appreciate this benefit not only during the winter but also in places, where wearing gloves is necessary - for example in mines.

6. In the hand or on the wall? 

The size of the tablet should fit your operation. The smaller size is suitable for carrying the device, and therefore it is also suitable for fieldwork. If you need to move with the device, you can attach it directly to your hand and use the other hand to operate other processes in the meantime. For longer fieldwork, you can hang the tablet over your shoulders while using optional straps. You can also use the Uniq series tablets as standard PCs in offices, or directly during production processes in the hall/warehouse, where you can also place them on stands or hang them on the wall (VESA mount).

7.  Non-stop communication

 A stable connection is an alpha and omega in places, where the flow of traffic depends on data transmission. This can be provided by a portable industrial device with a 4G or 5G module. The industrial tablet can also communicate via Wifi, LAN, Bluetooth and has a built-in GPS. The tablet offers complete communication options suitable for virtually any condition.

8. Connection with your processes

You may be used to using certain types of programs and applications in (not only) your production processes.
